If your interested in hair restoration and just want to ask some questions about what might be a good direction for you to go with your hair I highly suggest you call my friend Steve Cook who works with Dr. McGrath doing consultations. It’s completely free. He won’t try to sell you anything, and he can help you find the best hair solution to suit your needs. We’ve partnered up for this reason.

We want to get honest, full-disclosure, and non-sales oriented information to guys who want it. Steve is a great wealth of information, and he’s the most knowledgable and honest person I’ve met in the hair restoration business. You’ll learn a ton when you speak with him.

PS: I don’t use Minoxidil or Finasteride. There are too many negative side effects from both. The only thing I use to maintain my hair is a laser hat. I use one every other day, and I highly recommend that all guys buy one as they are FDA approved and scientifically PROVEN to help strengthen your hair, maintain it, and in many cases even re-grow it. The best part is that there are no negative side effects, only an upside. Here’s the hat I personally use, and thanks to my recent partnership with iRestore you get a 0 off coupon if you use this link below and the code promo code: REGROWTH150

PPS: Here’s a link to the concealer I use that I really like. This video was my first time using it as Dr. McGrath wanted me to try it since he uses it and loves it. It’s way better than the shake-on kinds: http://amzn.to/1YyUHGc – DermMatch

COVID-19 Germs Experiment for Kids!

disease No Comments »

As schools are closing and some parents are working from home more than they regularly do, you may find your family spending more time together than before.

Here’s a fun experiment to do with your kids to explain the importance of washing our hands during the Coronavirus pandemic.

What you’ll need:
o Pepper (which acts as the germs)
o Bowl of water (which acts as surface of our skin on our hands)
o Soap

Step 1:
o Shake pepper on top of the water. Give it a good coat! These are the germs that are on the surface of our skin.

Step 2:
o Have your child stick one fingertip directly into the bowl of water with pepper or “germs” on it.
o You’ll see the germs stick all over your hand when you don’t wash your hands!

Step 3:
o Rub a clean fingertip in soap. Make sure it is coated well.

Step 4:
o Stick the finger with the soap on it into the “germy” water and watch the germs spread out across the water! This is because the soap breaks down the virus!

Sexually transmitted diseases STD in women and men syphilis, chlamydia, gonoirrhoeae and hermes

This lecture explains about the different types of sexually transmitted diseases in women and in men such as siphilis, gonorrhoeae, chlamydia and AIDS. Sexually transmitted diseases (STDs) are infections that you can get from having sex with someone who has the infection. The causes of STDs are bacteria, parasites and viruses. There are more than 20 types of STDs, including

Chlamydia
Gonorrhea
Genital herpes
HIV/AIDS
HPV
Syphilis
Trichomoniasis
Most STDs affect both men and women, but in many cases the health problems they cause can be more severe for women. If a pregnant woman has an STD, it can cause serious health problems for the baby.

If you have an STD caused by bacteria or parasites, your health care provider can treat it with antibiotics or other medicines. If you have an STD caused by a virus, there is no cure. Sometimes medicines can keep the disease under control. Correct usage of latex condoms greatly reduces, but does not completely eliminate, the risk of catching or spreading STDs.

Suture Removal Nursing Skill | How to Remove Surgical Sutures (Stitches)

Suture Removal Nursing Skill | How to Remove Surgical Sutures (Stitches)

Surgical suture (stitches) removal is a common nursing skill that you will perform for patients who have received sutures due to an injury or surgery. People sometimes ask if nurses remove sutures. The answer is yes, I’ve removed stitches many times.

This nursing skill video will demonstrate the following:

-How to remove surgical sutures (stitches). This is demonstrated on a simple interrupted suture type.

-Supplies used to remove sutures.

-How to open supplies and don sterile gloves

-Common types of sutures you’ll encounter as a nurse, including simple interrupted sutures, vertical mattress sutures, horizontal mattress sutures, simple continuous sutures, continuous blanket sutures (also called Ford interlocking), and interrupted cruciate (cross-shaped sutures).

-Examining the patient’s wound for signs of infection.

-The importance of properly disposing of sutures and completing your nursing documentation.

You’ll always want to confirm that the doctor has ordered the suture removal, verify the patient, obtain consent, and explain the procedure.

Suture removal is typically not painful, but in some cases, an order for pain medication may be available for the patient.

Hemorrhoids | Piles | How To Get Rid Of Hemorrhoids | Hemorrhoids Treatment

pain No Comments »

Hemorrhoids or Piles. This video is on treatment, cream, symptoms, causes and how to get rid of hemorrhoids or piles.

Hemorrhoids, also known as piles, are swellings containing enlarged blood vessels found inside or around the bottom (the rectum and anus). In this video were looking at treatment and prevention I hope my tips help.

WHAT ARE HEMORRHOIDS:
Hemorrhoids, or piles, are abnormal swellings of the vascular mucosal anal cushions around the anus. In many cases, hemorrhoids don’t cause symptoms and some people don’t even realise they have them.

But when symptoms do occur, they may include:

• Bleeding after passing a stool – the blood is usually bright red
itchy bottom
• A lump hanging down outside of the anus, which may need to be pushed back in after passing a stool
• A mucus discharge after passing a stool
• Soreness, redness and swelling around your anus

Hemorrhoids aren’t usually painful, unless their blood supply slows down or is interrupted.

HEMORRHOID CAUSES:
The exact cause of hemorrhoids is unclear, but they’re associated with increased pressure in the blood vessels in and around your anus.

This pressure can cause the blood vessels in your back passage to become swollen and inflamed.

Many cases are thought to be caused by too much straining on the toilet as a result of prolonged constipation. This is often caused by a lack of fibre in a person’s diet.

Chronic (long-term) diarrhoea can also make you more vulnerable to getting hemorrhoids.

Other factors that might increase your risk of developing hemorrhoids include:

• Being overweight or obese
• Age – as you get older, your body’s supporting tissues get weaker, increasing your risk of hemorrhoids
• Being pregnant – this can place increased pressure on your pelvic blood vessels, causing them to enlarge
• Family history of hemorrhoids
• Regularly lifting heavy objects
• A persistent cough or repeated vomiting
• Sitting down long periods of time

PREVENTING AND TREATING HEMRRHOIDS:
Hemorrhoid symptoms often settle down after a few days without needing treatment. Hemorrhoids that occur during pregnancy often get better after giving birth.

Making lifestyle changes to reduce the strain on the blood vessels in and around your anus is often recommended.

These can include:
• Gradually increasing the amount of fibre in your diet – good sources of fibre include fruit, vegetables, wholegrain rice, wholewheat pasta and bread, pulses and beans, seeds, nuts and oats
• Drinking plenty of fluid – particularly water, but avoiding or cutting down on caffeine and alcohol
• Not delaying going to the toilet – ignoring the urge to empty your bowels can make your stools harder and drier, which can lead to straining when you do go to the toilet
• Avoiding medication that causes constipation – such as painkillers that contain codeine
losing weight if you’re overweight. Link to my constipation video – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q9ofHdvvdvM
• Exercising regularly – this can help prevent constipation and help you lose weight

These measures can also reduce the risk of hemorrhoids returning or even developing in the first place.

Hemorrhoid creams, ointments and suppositories are available from pharmacies without a prescription. Generally speaking you want it to contain a local anaesthetic for example lidocaine to help numb the pain in the area in combination with a steroid for example hydrocortisone to help reduce swelling. It’s best to speak to your pharmacist about this so they can make sure it’s safe and suitable for you to use.

These treatments should only be used for 5-7 days and are best used after a bowel motion so it stays in the right area for longer.

The most common remedies for hemorrhoids do not offer effective pain relief. Donut hole pillows and ointments can do more harm than good.

What Is a Hernia and How Is One Repaired?

pain No Comments »

Think of a hernia like a bulge in a damaged tire. The inner tube or soft tissue is normally contained by the abdominal wall, and if there is a leak or weak spot the soft tissue like fat or intestines can protrude through. Having a hernia will eventually require surgery to repair, and there are several different ways surgeons go about it.
